Reaction

This is a project where I fused elements from another artists style with my own. The artist likes comics, strong lines and illustrative qualities. I stayed true to myself with the loose brush strokes and dramatic lighting. It's interesting how this piece took on a comic book style simply by adding a couple elements from someone else's style and adding design elements like the border. It was almost by accident. This piece is called "Reaction" and it's 9"x9" oil on canvas. I took the opportunity to play with texture a bit and even used a knife on some areas.
