Drawings

I decided to add some of my older pencil drawings. I was going through some old sketch books of mine and realized how good some of these are. Some are better than others.

Rose

I am posting this painting although I don't feel it's even my work...it looks like someone else did this. This painting is proof to me that it's time to get back to my figure painting. I spent maybe a half hour on this rose painting...and it still has a rather flat feeling. There are certain things I like about it, it would look ok hanging on one of my walls, the colors are fun and well...that's about it. Haha. Yes, I'm "hard on myself" as people always tell me. Oh by the way, if you're observant enough to notice the pack of cigarettes in the second picture...they're not mine. I had to let that be known.

Roses

I painted this plaque in about 20 minutes and I kinda like how it turned out. Inspiration - my Valentine roses :)

I have not painted in a while. I need to get back to working. I have some great ideas and two new canvas stretchers. Now...just to stop stressing and just get to work on them. I really miss my figurative work as well. This rose plaque was a last minute decision, I just plopped down on the floor and started painting. To the one who bought me the roses...thank you. Happy Valentines Day...from a distance. <3>

As usual, I couldn't get my camera to cooperate for a more clear picture. :(

Oh and I may decide to come back and put a clear coat on this piece for a nice sheen.
